Hogzilla

Advisory – vegetarians will not appreciate what I have to say in this section, sorry. But you’ve been warned…
I just watched a documentory on Natotional Geographic, as one does on a saturday evening when you have no life. It was about, suprise – Hogzilla, this huge pig-hog thing from Georgia USA. My first thought as I watched grown men dig in dirt for hours to find a six month dead pig, was why? Why are you doing this? To establish that the beast was authentic and not faked through some photo work shop? Well, that’s what the point seemed to be. I couldn’t help but feel that maybe, somewhere out there, there was a more important story that needed to be told. Sure, pigs are great and a big one could be really exciting, but in the end, all the show did for me was make me crave a bacon sandwich. Ah, bacon, the dieter’s nemesis. When they dug the body of the hybrid hog up, it was said to weigh 800lbs. Have you any idea how many bacon sandwiches I could have gotten from that? And to think they killed it and wasted all that meat. The carnivore in me is digusted. Tut-tut.
